Middle-aged lawyer Michael Clayton is a 'fixer' who clears up complex cases on behalf of corporate clients. However, when he takes on an important case on behalf of his old friend and colleague Arthur Edens, he soon finds himself a target for the dark forces that defend corporate interests.
